Mr. Robert W. Shope founded our Company in 1952.  Robert G. Palmer became a partner in 1960, and sole owner in 1968.  The corporate name was changed in 1977 to the present Portage Plumbing & Heating, Inc.  Since 1952 we have endeavored and succeeded in setting an enviable record of service, loyalty to customers, and quality workmanship with professional employees.  Our commitment has not only been to maintaining ongoing training within our trade, but also local and area wide community involvement.  Our staff has been active participants in service and church groups, plus the following:
